Getting started

Five simple steps

Create a survey

Make a separate survey for each class or group, then send students the link.

Learn what students like

Ask for a first name or your own short code and a few interests. Do not collect surnames, contacts, passwords, or health details.

Add the lesson topic

Enter the subject, topic, and class. You can choose the answer language and material type in Settings.

Choose a student

Open a student card and check the response. You can delete an accidental or inappropriate submission.

Open your AI tool

Read the request, copy it into the service you use, and always check the finished material.

What you need

Name the result: an explanation, project idea, test, rubric, discussion plan, or something else.

Who it is for

Add the subject, topic, class level, answer language, and any school context that matters.

Practical limits

Set the length, difficulty, number of questions, available time, and anything the answer should avoid.

An easy-to-check format

Ask for headings, numbered steps, a separate answer key, or clear assessment criteria.

Make something interesting about percentages for this student.

It is not clear what material is needed or how detailed it should be.

Clearer
Create an eight-question percentage test for Grade 5. Use one natural example connected to the student’s interest in games, mix calculation and reasoning, and place the answer key after the student section.

The task, level, length, and answer format are clear straight away.

Take a minute to check

  • Are the facts, calculations, and answers correct?
  • Is the task at the right level?
  • Does the link to the student’s interests feel natural?
  • Has the AI avoided sensitive details and guesses about the student?
  • Are controversial topics presented calmly and fairly?
  • Will the material fit the time and resources you have?

TeacherPrompt does not send student information to AI services on its own. You choose what to copy and where to send it. Always review the result before using it with students.
